CAPE CHARLES, Va. — As part of its grand July 4th celebration, Cape Charles will be hosting two thrilling tournaments that promise to add even more excitement to the festivities. The 3rd Annual Cornhole Tournament and the 4 on 4 Teen Basketball Tournament are set to draw enthusiastic participants and spectators alike.
Cornhole Tournament: The cornhole tournament, held on July 4th, will feature three categories:
- 4 Man Crew Cup Blind Draw at 11:00 a.m. with a $20 entry fee per player.
- Doubles Blind Draw at 1:00 p.m., also with a $20 entry fee per player.
- Doubles BYOP (Bring Your Own Partner) at 3:00 p.m. with a $50 entry fee per team.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, and the event promises friends, food, drinks, and live music to keep everyone entertained. Interested participants can register on Scorholio. For additional information, contact Walt at 757-607-6527.

Teen Basketball Tournament: The 4 on 4 Teen Basketball Tournament will also take place on July 4th at the intersection of Bay Avenue and Madison. The tournament is open to 5-player teams consisting of teenagers aged 13-17. Registration will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the tip-off scheduled for 12:00 p.m.
